Bangkok--15 Sep--TMB
Guided by its firm belief that everyone could play a part in making contributive returns to the community and society at large, TMB today announced “FAI-FAH in a Box” activity to involve customers in co-creation of art pieces with youths from TMB’s “FAI-FAH” project and the staff of TMB in 168 branches nationwide. Using art as the vehicle, the new activity is designed to pass on inspiration and spark creativity to children and youths in more than 160 provincial schools across Thailand. FAI-FAH in a Box kicks off at 84 Bangkok branches of TMB today and will start off in 84 provincial branches of the bank on September 17.
FAI-FAH in a Box is an activity under the “FAI-FAH”, a youth-targeted social initiative that inspires 12 to 17 year-old community residents to draw out their might and make the difference to their world. The project works through a range of activities that enables a process of learning through the arts. As part of TMB’s commitment to foster sustainable return to the society, this initiative creates the suitable environment for young children to discover their inner talents and potentials whilst learning to get and to give. It is intended to help instill integrity and self-confidence in these young children and groom them to become high potential adults in the future. FAI-FAH in a Box also reaffirms FAI-FAH’s concept in sparking creativity and passing on inspiration to people through the means of art.
Mr. Boontuck Wungcharoen, TMB CEO, said, “TMB strongly believes that everyone has the inner power to make the difference to themselves and people around them, just like how FAI-FAH youths have discovered their potentials and made the difference to their lives, and more importantly, made return contributions to their community. TMB hopes to see an endless flow of giving, one that is not only bordered within Bangkok. FAI-FAH in a Box signifies an extension of FAI-FAH’s reach to ‘give back’ to the society, the inspiration to Make THE Difference across the nation.
“As part of TMB’s activities to mark the 84th Birthday Anniversary of HM the King this year, “FAI-FAH in a Box activity will be carried out at selected 84 Bangkok and 84 provincial branches. With FAI-FAH in a Box, we encourage our customers and staff to jointly color up contour drawings created by youths from FAI-FAH project. When completely painted, these beautiful pieces of artwork will be delivered to more than 160 schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission nationwide. The inspiration in these paintings can then be extended from FAI-FAH kids to a myriad of young children around the country, giving them an inspiration of creativity and encouragement that they, too, could, realize their potential to make.”
Mr. Pradit Leosirikul, Senior Executive Vice President — Head of Branch Banking of TMB, added: “The availability of FAI-FAH in a Box at 168 branches of TMB nationwide is a positive move with multi-pronged benefits. It opens up an opportunity for TMB staff at these branches to take part in community activity, gives staff a chance to strengthen their relationship with customers and enhance customer’s experience. Moreover, it creates a special occasion for TMB staff and customers to jointly give back to the community.”
Each FAI-FAH in a Box package contains nine pieces of canvases on 25x25cm stretchers, carrying an outline drawn by participating youths of FAI-FAH projects. When the nine frames are arranged together, they form one big drawing. Each package comes complete with an installation kit, painting tools, and a manual that provides general information about FAI-FAH in a Box activity plus painting and installation guidlines. A total of 168 packages of FAI-FAH in a Box, in a variety of six contour drawings, will be dispatched to 168 branches of TMB nationwide.
The FAI-FAH in a Box activity begins today at 84 branches of TMB in Bangkok. It will be extended to 84 provincial branches from September 17 to be available to customers and members of the public in all parts of Thailand. On September 17, which is set to be the rollout day in upcountry for the activity, four kick-off events will be held simultaneously at Central Plazas in the major cities of the four regions, namely Chiang Mai, Phuket, Khon Kaen, and Pattaya.
