In partnership with YBM, the first location opens inside Seoul’s Young Poong BookstoreTurner International Asia Pacific Inc and YBM Education, South Korea’s largest English education institution, today announced the launch of the world’s first CNN-branded “CNN Cafe” in Seoul, South Korea. The CNN Cafe is located inside the Jongno branch of the Young Poong Bookstore.
The CNN Cafe is a new caf? concept that serves coffee and light snacks within an environment featuring CNN content across different platforms, including a live feed of the CNN International channel on a large screen, the latest CNN news wires on a digital ticker and computer terminals featuring cnn.com and cnngo.com. The caf? seeks to attract the growing number of the self-employed and students who study at coffee shops, while the new concept 'coffice' (coffee-office) also offers free wifi, computers and printing services.
The CNN Cafe further aims to provide a space that offers a modern yet comfortable feel for caf? patrons, as well as a chance for locals to learn English using YBM’s various study-oriented features, including free study abroad consultations, language consultations and TOEIC test registrations provided by YBM instructors at set times at the cafe.
