Bangkok Bank has announced a business agreement with the Kinki Osaka Bank, Ltd. (Head office: Osaka City, Chou Ward; President: Mr. Hiroyuki Ikeda). For Bangkok Bank, the Kinki Osaka Bank, Ltd. is our 19th collaboration bank in Japan following Yamanashi Chuo Bank which has an agreement signed on September 2011.
The Kinki Osaka Bank, Ltd. is the wholly owned-subsidiary of Resona Holdings Inc. and was established 10 years ago by the merger of Kinki Bank and Osaka Bank. As a local financial institution, the Kinki Osaka Bank, Ltd. has been fulfilling duties by providing smooth financial assistance to local retail and SME customers and also having social dedication to local society through high-quality financial service.
The Kinki Osaka Bank, Ltd. is utilizing Resona’s low-cost-operation system. On the other hand, the Kinki Osaka Bank, Ltd. maintains empathetic bond with the customers and strengthens the profitability by providing value-added services from Resona Group such as fiduciary service. After facing the unprecedented national crisis, there has been a rise in the need from companies to tap into overseas market in order to find out new market to supplement sales decrease due to sluggish domestic demand and disperse production base overseas for risk reduction. In accordance with an increase in investment opportunities from Japan, Bangkok Bank is also bolstering the supporting framework for the Japanese. The number of Japanese staff has been increasing from 7 in this January to 13 and the overall size of the Japanese Corporate including Thai staff will grow by nearly 50 percent to 60 persons. In addition to the support to corporate and SME customers, Bangkok Bank is also expanding its retail services to Japanese customers in Thailand.
