Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd. Thailand Branch (MSITB) leading by Mr. Isao Nojo, CEO, together with A.P. Honda, DDPM Samutprakan, MSIG TB and MBTS Broking Services have continued Safety Helmet for Children-CSR project consecutively for the 4th year at Kea Ha Bang Plee School in Bang Sao Thong district of Samutprakan province. MSITB donated 2,500 child helmets for children below 12 yrs for 13 primary schools and DDPM for their activities in roadside accident prevention training. This year MSITB won the Prime Minister Road Safety Award 2011 because of a number of activities i.e. “Safety Helmets for Small Children, MSIWF Research Grant and Don’t Drive Drunk Poster Contest” which support the government 100% helmet- wearing policy.
Project’s main objectives are improving road safety behavior and sponsoring child helmets for youths since at present time, the production of child helmet in the market is very limited.
