Bangkok Bank invites the media to see the Modern Agriculture project and inspect newly renovated school building in Trang

Bangkok--6 Oct--Bangkok Bank Bangkok Bank Executive Chairman Kosit Panpiemras, Executive Vice Chairman Deja Tulananda, President Chartsiri Sophonpanich and other executives invited more than 60 journalists to join ‘Bangkok Bank’s Press Trip & Tour 2011 Trang’ and witness the handover ceremony for the renovated school building of Ban Bang Mak school (Bangkok Bank 22), Kantang district, Trang province. The journalists also visited the bank’s customers in the Modern Agriculture project including Plantoys Ltd., a pioneer in using old rubber wood to make wooden toys, and Trang Palm Oil Ltd., a producer and seller of crude palm oil, palm kernels, shells and fibers. Trang Palm Oil aims to maximize the benefits from using by-products and waste in the palm oil industry, including using waste water to produce electricity. Bangkok Bank initiated the Modern Agriculture project in 2001. The project introduces customers to financial, business management and agricultural experts in the agriculture sector who assist them with financial and knowledge support. The project helps customers improve their product quality so as to compete in the high-value market. The bank has 6,000 agricultural business customers taking part in the project.
