Thailand Wins 7 Gold Medals during 1st Day Asian and World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships

Bangkok--11 Oct--Thana Burin As the country host, Thailand won 7 gold medals from during the first day (5 Oct) of Asian and World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships participated by almost 400 bodybuilding and fitness athletes from 34 countries, which run until Friday 7th October 2011 at the Sport Building 2 (Keelaves 2) of Japan-Thai Stadium. The 7 gold medalists of Thai bodybuilding and fitness championships during the 1st day championships are Apiporn Chomsomboon for World Women’s Fitness Physique with height up to 165 cms and Asian Women’s Fitness with height not over 155 cms, Wanchai Kanjanapimai for World and Asian Men’s Fitness Physique on Open category, Jakkawat Intarangsri for Asian Men’s Athlete Physique with height not over 160 cms, Jeerapan Pongkam for Asian Men’s Bodybuilding with weight up to 60 kgs (Flyweight) and Worakorn Wongsakornmuang for Asian Men’s Athlete Physique with height not over 175 cms. However, Thailand is able to secure three silver medalists from Wilaiporn Wannaklang on Asian Bodybuilding up to 46 kgs, Sirikorn Kotchakit on Asian Men’s Athlete Physique with height not over 160 cms and Wichian Jamjamrat Asian Men’s Bodybuilding with weight up to 55 kgs (Light-Flyweight) from Wichian Jaemjamrat. Moreover, there are 4 bronze medalists from Kittipong Jansuwan on Asian Men’s Athlete Physique with height not over 165 cms, Wanchai Saengsuriyarit on Asian Men’s Athlete Physique with height not over 175 cms, Syn Maj Damrongsak Soisri on Asian Men’s Fitness Physique for Open category and Panorn On-nim on Asian Men’s Bodybuilding with weight up to 55 kgs (Light-Flyweight). Meanwhile other gold medalists are Liu Hongxia (China) on Asian Women’s Bodybuilding up to 46 kgs, You Mi Hee (Korea) on Asian Women’s Bodybuilding up to 49 kgs, Paijar Bin Upau (Malaysia) on Asian Men’s Athlete Physique with height not over 165 cms, Ishaq Mohd Ibrahim Ahi (UAE) on Asian Men’s Athlete Physique with height not over 170 cms, and Pham Vann Mach (Vietnam) on Asian Men’s Bodybuilding with weight up to 55 kgs. According to Mr Pakpong Kriangsak, President of Thailand Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Association (TBPA), said “On behalf of the Thailand Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Association I am very pleased that our Thai bodybuilding and fitness athletes are able to win up to 7 gold medals during the first day of the Asian and World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships, together with secure three silver and 4 medals. During the years, TBPA has seen the development of our bodybuilding and fitness athletes and I am very proud of them.”
