Dr. Prasert Patramai (right), Chairman of the Board of Thailand’s TEAM Group of Companies Co., Ltd. has signed an agreement with Prof. Said Irandoust, President of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), to launch a student internship program. The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed recently (7 October) will enable qualified AIT students to work as student-trainees of TEAM Group.
The internships will provide AIT students with invaluable hands-on work experience, and can be a gateway to a real job in the future, Dr. Prasert said.
AIT President Said Irandoust stressed that the future of higher education rests on collaboration with the private sector, and engagement such as this are one way to align AIT students with the skills demanded by employers.
“ We are deeply proud of TEAM Group’s impact in the region, and the role many AIT alumni have played in this success,” President Irandoust said, as he thanked the TEAM Group officials gathered to witness the signing at Team Group headquarters in Bangkok.
