Jetstar extends support for flood relief efforts with donations of 800 blankets

Bangkok--19 Oct--Aziam Burson-Marsteller Low fares leader Jetstar is continuing its support of Thai communities who have been affecting by the recent flooding in Thailand with its visit and delivery of donations of 800 blankets to the Thai Government’s Flood Relief Centre at Don Muang airport. Jetstar has a longstanding history of supporting communities where it operates throughout the region, In Thailand, this has included support of various health and educational projects that benefit underprivileged children. In addition to staff disaster relief initiatives, Jetstar in 2007 established the StarKids Program in partnership with World Vision, whereby passengers are encouraged to donate to World Vision projects which improve the lives of children in some of the region’s poorest communities, including in Thailand. This innovative program brings together its more than 7000 employees and annual customer base of almost 20,000,000 to raise awareness and help transform the lives of vulnerable children. Many Jetstar employees also donate directly through a direct Work Place Giving program.
