Bangkok--20 Oct--Maxima Consultants It’s for the kids benefit concert….. on Friday’s night, Bangkok audiences were treated to the first performance by Deutsche Philharmonie Merck from Germany at the ‘Philharmonic Orchestra Charity Concert’, the charity classical music which organized by Bangkok Symphony Orchestra Foundation under The Royal Patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn (BSO) in association with B.Grimm Group, Merck Limited’s Chemicals Division, DKSH (Thailand) Limited, Leschaco (Thailand) Limited, The Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel Bangkok and Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The charity orchestra was held to raise funds for the Little Scientists’ House Project in Thailand and took place at Shrewsbury International School, Bangkok. The Philharmonic Orchestra Charity Concert was attended by over 600 VIPs, dignitaries and orchestra fans including Dr.Frank Stangenberg-Haverkamp, Chairman of the Board of Partners of E.Merck KG from Germany; H.E.Mr.Rolf Schulze, German Ambassador to Thailand; Khunying Sumonta and Dr.Suebsaeng Promboon; Mr.Vichien Tejapaibul, Dr.Tarisa Watanagase, former Governor of the Bank of Thailand; Dr.Patamaka Sukontamarn; Major General Sakol Eiumtrakul; Dr.Wattana Piticharoenkul; Mr.Panit and Ms.Wipasiri Kitsubun; Ms.Shawn Morya; Ms.Joyce Tseng and many more. The aim of this charity concert was to raise funds to support the Little Scientists’ House Project, an initiative project under the Royal Patronage of Foundation of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The ‘Little Scientists’ House’ project aims to get early childhood as young as pre-school age interested in science and technology and, in doing so, to strengthen our nation in the long term as a country of innovation. For this year, the Little Scientists’ House project plans to awaken the spirit of scientific mind in more than 3,000 kindergarten schools and to arouse the kids’ enthusiasm for natural phenomena, technical and mathematical questions across Thailand. Taking to the stage was the Deutsche Philharmonie Merck, the musical ambassador of Merck in Darmstadt — the world’s oldest pharmaceutical and chemical company. The 64-professional orchestra member had the audience gasping for the breath and the beautiful lyrics. Conductor Wolfgang Heinzel, widely regarded as one of the most creative musician of his generation joined the Philharmonic Orchestra Charity Concert with the flute soloist Henrik Wiese. This one-of-a-kind concert featured the most famous popular classical music by Beethoven: Leonore Overture No 3; Brahms: Hungarian Dances; Mozart: Flute Concerto No 2 in D major; Strauss: Pizzicato Polka; Loreley-Rheinklange Waltz; Annen Polka; Tschaikowsky: Polonaise and Waltz from ‘Eugen Onegin’. The final song was the ‘Sweet Words’, a musical composition of His Majesty the King to commemorate the auspicious occasion of the 84th birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. At the end, H.E.Mr.Rolf Schulze, German Ambassador to Thailand also presented the flower bouquet to talented conductor Wolfgang Heinzel. And before leaving, guests put on their happy faces not only by the fun of music rhythm but also the rhythm of life which they could contribute to the Little Scientists’ House Project Thailand.
