Bangkok--3 Nov--TQPR
Opt to Adopt -afternoon is a means to raise money for SCAD’s Adoption Program and raise awareness on why one should choose to adopt a pet.
The overwhelming number of street cats and dogs in Bangkok is constantly growing and still a trend for buying small pedigree animals from puppymills continues to rule, leaving our own city’s animals stranded. SCAD’s mission is to bring change to that behaviour.
On a happier note SCAD is pleased to inform that the UK will be renewing its animal import regulations in January 2012, which now gives Thai cats and dogs the possibility to be imported into the UK similar as to the EU, opening new adoption possibilities especially for expats.
Opt to Adopt is a family afternoon, filled with fun and information on pets and adoption. Activities include face painting for kids, a pet quiz for the whole family and a raffle. Those wishing to give x-mas donations for SCAD animals can do so at this event.
The small entrance fee of 100thb/ adults and 50thb/kids will go directly towards the adoption program.
Bistro 33 is fully operational during the event.
