Electric Power Development Company Limited (J-POWER) donated 30 general purpose submersible pumps, 100 portable submersible pumps, and a diesel engine generator, to the government of Thailand as part of the company’s coordinated efforts in helping tackle the catastrophic floods in Thailand.
Today, Mr. Yoshiki Onoi, Executive Officer, and Mr. Akihiko Sakurai, President of J-POWER’s subsidiary in Thailand, presented a list of the equipment to Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at The Flood Relief Operations Centre (FROC), Energy Complex. The list consists of 30 pumps each with the capacity to release 240 tons of water per hour from inundated areas, 100 portable pumps each with the capacity of 11 tons per hour and a diesel generator to supply electric power to the pumps.
J-POWER wishes that the humanitarian donation will be utilized to assist Thai people and society through activities by the government.
