Bangkok--7 Nov--Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Survival” Project Exhibition and activities encourage participations from viewers to exchange knowledge and instigate inspiration to prepare for long term dealing with disasters, organized by Bangkok Art and Culture Centre in collaboration with the Design for Disasters network “Mueng Jom Nam” (Sunken City) Exhibition 20 October 2011 — 29 January 2012 Gallery, 8th Floor An exhibition raising awareness on the environment and its alarming transformations through eyes of 15 artists. All in all, the exhibition is an exchange of knowledge and information aimed at creating awareness and action that will contribute to public awareness towards conserving and sustaining our environment. “Survival” Exhibition 20 October 2011 — 29 January 2012 Gallery, 8th Floor (part of “Mueng Jom Nam”exhibition) The exhibition presents the idea of to revalue common use of everyday items into a new perception that is beneficial in times of calamity. All seminars is moderated by Vipavee Kunavichayanont, Founder of Design for Disasters (D4D) “Survival” Station at BACC The entrance area, 3th Floor To encourage participations to exchange knowledge and instigate inspiration to prepare for long term dealing with disasters, the station is a special information centre connecting information related to disaster occurring in Thailand. The information includes point of donations, volunteering, reviving projects and news and movement about disaster. Special project Art for Help: Arts Network Saving Sunken Cities Every Tuesday and Thursday, 10:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. until January 2012 At Evacuation Centre, Ratchamangkala Stadium (Ramkhamhaeng) By Bangkok Art and Culture Centre in collaboration with Artists, Designers and general public The activity is for helping flood victims. This month, there are workshops “Art Therapy” for flood victims at the evacuation centre and books donations for children.
