UN SECRETARY-GENERAL VISIT TO BANGKOK

Bangkok--15 Nov--UN During his visit to Thailand tomorrow (16 November), United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will be received by the Prime Minister of Thailand, Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra at Government House where they will make a joint statement. Later in the day, the UN Secretary-General will make an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas of Bangkok. There will be a media photo opportunity at the Helipad as the Secretary-General departs and returns from the aerial inspection. He will then visit an evacuation centre for flood-affected people at Chulalongkorn University. The evacuation centre tour will be open to journalists and will be followed immediately by a press stakeout where the Secretary-General will take questions from the press.
