Bangkok--18 Nov--Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
Mr.Reungsak Mahavinichaimontri, the Governor of Nakhon Phanom province (fourth from left) presided over the donation of 18,000 kg. animal food to Ms.Wimolporn thitisak, Deputy Director General of Department of Livestock Development (fourth from right) to be distributed to the flood-affected animals in Bangkok and in other adjacent provinces. The food was bought from the fund contributed by animal-loving people who joined in a campaign against an illegal trade for dog meat across the border over the recent months. To be effective, the Livestock Department has assigned Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TSPCA) led by Secretary-General Sawan sangbunlung (third from left) and its animal rights network to help distribute the item to the suffering animals. The event took place at Chachoengsao Animal Quarantine Station in Chachoengsao province.
