Toyota Motor Thailand Co.,Ltd. sets to bring a full-scale of car maintenance activities to the 28th Thailand International Motor Expo 2011 with aim to help Toyota customers victimized by flood. An exhibition to showcase Toyota’s advanced environmental technology and a lot more activities are to be held at Toyota booth, A14, Challenger Hall 2, Impact Muang Thong Thani, from December 1-12, 2011.
Mr.Wutthikorn Suriyachanthananont, Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Thailand Co.,Ltd, said “It is with our deepest regret that flooding disaster has happened to people in Thailand and we are very sorry for victims across the nation. The incident had impact on us too. As such, at this year’s Motor Expo, we decided to skip all of our regular sale and marketing activities as we believe we should focus on providing proper information to our customers on how to take care of their cars after the flood. Our expert mechanic team will be there throughout the event to give advices to customers and demonstrate how to fix or repair any damages on each Toyota model. We believe it is crucial to do so as our customers are now concern very much about their cars’ condition and safety after the flood.”
Inside Toyota booth, there will be a team of staff providing technical information about car maintenance and how to restore and move cars properly after the flood. For customers who are interested in buying any model from Toyota, staff will provide information about dealers nationwide as needed.
In addition, Toyota has initial regulation on how to take care of your cars in case it was flooded by water as suggested below:
1) Do not ignite the engine. It would bring water into the engine and cause more damages.
2) Mark the level of water flooded on the car to identify the level of damage.
3) If the car is flooded as high as engine position, bring it in to your nearest maintenance center to let the expert take care of it.
Toyota will also have an exhibition showcasing Toyota’s outstanding innovation included “TOYOTA Hybrid Synergy Drive,” an environmental technology featured in Toyota ‘Prius’ Hybrid and ‘Camry Hybrid’; and “Diamond Technology,” a fuel-saving, high-performance technology featured in Toyota ‘Hilux Vigo Champ’. A lot more activities are to be conducted throughout the Motor Expo included social activity, after sale service and car maintenance activity.
