Dr.Sutthiporn Jitmitarapap, Secreatary of Office of National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), recently received 166th-175th innovative steel boats from Mr. Nava Chantasurakhon, Vice President, Public Affairs and Social Responsibility Division of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. (SSI) to help flood victims in remote area. Formerly, SSI has developed and donated 165 innovative steel boats to government and the relevant authority’s relief for flood victims.
“The innovative steel boat” is a multipurpose vehicle with special design that has the flexibility to move people or goods in order to help flood victims. It can also be adapted to a larger boat or raft, and used as a bookshelf or cabinet after the floods recede.
