Tops and Central Food Hall is poised to give best wishes and happiness during the upcoming festive season of New Year with the launch of “Appreciation of Miracles 2012”,a new year gift baskets campaign that focus on “Live”, “Love”, and “Luck”. More than 500 festive items are prepared to celebrate the New Year with an offer of maximum 28% discount to stimulate the mood of shopping and the economy for year-end, expected to hit the target of 500 million Baht in sales.

This year New Year gift basket market is expected to grow at 5-7 per cent or a value of 780 million Baht compared with last year sales at 740 million Baht comparing to 2009 sales growth of 20%. Though the country is encountering the floods, the consumers will still opt for getting gift baskets for each other during New Year. They will focus on quality products, choose from the choices of best decoration as well as consider the maximum return on promotion. The prices of the most popular gift basket are ranged between 1,500-3,000 Baht which Tops and Central Food Hall have captured around 50 per cent market share on this particular market.
Trend of the gift basket business is exclusive and premium products such as health-conscious gift baskets, baskets for those on weight-watch, organic food baskets, exclusive products baskets, or “own brand' baskets. This year, we have come up with diverse ideas to design exquisite gift baskets.”
The key concept behind this year's campaign is “Appreciation of Miracles” to celebrate the miracles of life, divided into three gift basket ideas. The basket can be re-used based on “Reuse for Live” idea; Love: The basket represents your thankfulness for love and bonding with each other; and Luck: The basket is your gratitude towards someone since the person has always given you best wishes.
