Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the annual traditional Thai music competition for high-school students at Bangkok Bank’s Head Office on Silom Road. The Princess also granted awards to winners of the 2010 competition and sang a traditional Thai song with a band. Bangkok Bank Chairman Chatri Sophonpanich, Executive Chairman Kosit Panpiemras and Directors HSH Prince Mongkolchaleam Yugala and Mrs. Gasinee Witoonchart led the bank’s directors, executives, and staff to welcome the Princess. The traditional Thai music competition, Pralong Pleng Praleng Mahoree, is a Thai music conservation project under the royal patronage of Her Royal Highness, which has been implemented by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and Bangkok Bank’s Musical Art Center for 25 years since 1986. The competition aims to develop Thai music performance skills for youngsters and maintain the national heritage of Thai music.
