Ministry of industry received water pumps from Toshiba Corporation, Japan, to help recover the major flood crisis.

Bangkok--15 Dec--Department of Primary Industries and Mines Ministry of industry received a donation from Toshiba Corporation, Japan, hoping to help restore the industrial estates to be back in operation as soon as possible. The donation consists of 17 water pumps, which worth more than 20 million Baht. H.E. Dr. Wannarat Channukul, Minister of Industry, said the country is facing the major flood which damages the country’s economy, especially in seven industrial estates located in Ayutthaya and Pathum Thani provinces in which a number of Japanese factories are located. One of them is Toshiba Thailand Co., Ltd., whose factories are located in Bang Kadi industrial park and Nava Nakorn industrial estate, Pathum Thani. Toshiba Corporation, Japan, the parent company of Toshiba Thailand Co., Ltd., donated 17 water pumps, valued at 65 million Yen or about 20 million Baht, to the Ministry of Industry to assist and accelerate the rehabilitation of industrial estates affected by the flood. H.E. Dr. Wannarat Channukul said, Ministry of Industry will utilize the pumps, which have total pumping capacity of approximately 2,500 cubic meters per hour, to firstly assist the affected industrial estates and will use them in other flooded areas later on.
