Mitsubishi Motors Thailand reported 3,246 booking from Motor Expo. Pajero Sport was the best buy with 1,445 units followed by Triton 1,405 units while the nationwide booking now is over 15,000 units. Expected to deliver the back order within 1-2 months, Mitsubishi is now speeding up a production to cover a high customers’ demand. Moreover, in order to boost sales in 1st quarter of next year, the company will continue to arrange marketing and sales activity.
Mr. Atsushi Seino, Vice President of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Company Limited informed about the total booking volume in the 28th Motor Expo during 1-12 December 2011 that the company got 3,246 units . Among this volume, Pajero Sport was the best popular model with 1,445 units followed by Triton1,405 units, Lancer EX 317 units and Lancer 1.6 L.79 units ;

“Increasing more than 68.2% compared to 1,930 units of 2010 Motor Expo,, our total booking in this year Motor Expo is higher than target. "Pajero Sport and Triton" 2012 model year which were introduced to the market since October 2011 are the key models that have been highly appreciated by customers. In particular, the Pajero Sport, which is available in both diesel and gasoline, has been well accepted by customers in its utility and performance that suit all lifestyles. After the flood crisis, the needs of the market was much higher than our expectations, meanwhile Mitsubishi Triton still gets the warm welcome as a result of its appearance, performance, and functionality as well as the variety of engines including diesel, gasoline and CNG. According to the dramatic increase in market demand of both models, the company will try to accelerate production at LCB plant in order to be able to deliver the car to the customer as soon as possible. "
Mr. Seino also reported Mitsubishi sales volume in November total 3,557 units, a decrease of 12.7 % compared to the same period of last year while the total sales volume from Jan-Nov is at 59,966 units, grew by 75.7 % year on year. For the rest of this year the company will continue to arrange marketing activity including roadshow both in Bangkok and Up country and join with dealers to arrange showroom caravan together with provide special sales campaign. For next year activity, the company will continue to arrange below the line activity to reach customers in each area and also provide special sales campaign as well.
