ING Accelerates Efforts To Recruit New Agents and Create More Efficiency Among Existing Agents

Bangkok--27 Dec--Aziam Burson-Marsteller Bangkok — December xx, 2011 -- ING Life Limited Thailand has expedited plans to recruit new agents and implement programs to enhance efficiency among existing agents. The program will focus on long-term training and development of sales and management skills and provide professionalism agent courses for the company’s constantly growing roster of agents. KP Tan, Chief Agency Officer, ING Life Limited, disclosed that during the last quarter of 2011, the company has implemented a policy to recruit new agents and further develop existing agents’ performance to be more efficient. ING Life’s vision for the agency channel is to enhance ING Life’s agency network. The company has established three mandatory courses that will enhance the professionalism of the company’s agency network and will offer the highest bonus at 22 months to the agents. Regarding the policy of the new agent’s building plan, ING Life Limited has recruited and selected agents in many regions and this year is especially focused on the eastern, central and southern parts of the country. For the last quarter, the company cooperated with the Thailand Insurance Institute (TII) to organize training courses that will facilitate agents in their efforts to secure licenses in Bangkok and the provinces. The process takes two days. Many people have participated in the courses with 98% of the applicants having passed the courses. In addition, the company has invested 2 million baht to set establish a venue for agency examinations and purchase computers to support the plan for recruiting new agents. It also organized a caravan of vans to promote the recruitment of agents in various regions throughout the country. Moreover, ING Life organized competitions and encouraged agents to build their teams. KP Tan said ”to develop greater efficiency among our agents, the company has come up with a clear cut long-term training and development plan for our sales and management teams, focusing more on training that would increase their skills and capabilities. It also links training to career promotion to generating more efficiency and professionalism while improving the courses and instructors to international standards. ING Life limited has recently recruited 1,000 new agents and now has 4,012 agents, 511 agent executives and 43 sales directors.
