Novotel Bangkok Fenix Ploenchit invites guests to celebrate Chinese New Year, the most important traditional Chinese festival and major highlight in Asia’s cultural calendar, with a special Chinese buffet. To usher in the Year of the Dragon, the hotel has put together an exciting, colourful and vibrant menu in the spirit of the Chinese festive season, to coincide with the opening evening of celebrations on 23 January 2012.
According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2012 is the Year of the Water Dragon, with lunar celebrations traditionally lasting for 15 days from the turn of the New Year. In ancient China, the celestial Dragon represents an emperor and a symbol of power; the ultimate auspicious symbol signifying success and happiness, and the inspiration behind an incredible buffet, priced at just 760 Baht ++ for adults and 490 Baht ++ for younger dragons.
Highlights include a Peking duck station with a choice of duck dishes with condiments. There’s also jellyfish salad and chicken in shao shin wine to tickle the taste buds, before scallops in black bean sauce, steamed garoupa, crispy chicken with Chinese dipping sauce, braised noodles and a variety of Chinese pastries complete a sublime offering. Gold chocolate coins in mandarin-orange and red envelopes are the finishing touch to a magical experience that will live on and prosper in the minds of all guests for the rest of the lunar year. Served from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm.
