COTTON USA connects buyers and sellers, expands business opportunities for ASEAN textile industry at “COTTON USA ASEAN Supply Chain Conference” in Singapore
COTTON USA, led by Mr. William R. Bettendorf, Director of Supply Chain Marketing (center), recently held COTTON USA Supply Chain Conference in Singapore with participation of (from left to right) Mr. Edmund W. Sim, Appleton Luff Pte. Ltd.; Mr. Dale Cougot, General Manager of Knowledge Management, OLAM International Ltd.; Mr. Tim Hill, Business Development Director, Synovate Business Consulting; and Mr. Peter Hevicon, General Manager, Debenhams Hong Kong Ltd. as speakers. The conference was COTTON USA’s first ASEAN-focused supply chain program to update the industry on leading factors influencing their business, as well as to introduce ASEAN yarn companies using a majority of U.S. cotton to potential customers in the ASEAN region. The event included 14 ASEAN yarn spinners and 24 international knitting and weaving companies from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. COTTON USA scheduled more than 335 private one-on-one meetings between buyers and sellers at this event and has a plan to hold more conferences following the same format.
