Bangkok--23 Jan--Oasis Media Launching new president's policy, the Home Builder Association will push 2 main policies including raising professional's standard level and speeding up in increasing an awareness of home building to be more acceptable. She says home building market has been improved consecutively and expects market value in 2012 will be 12 billion baht after demand last year resumed as well as an upward trend in average housing price and raising awareness of the association. Dr.Patchara Tantayanyong, President of the Home Building Association says the association's policy in 2012-2013 remains focusing on raising home building's standard to be more acceptable among consumer. The main policy will include raising the professional's standard and awareness on home building. For raising the professional's standard, the association will focus on developing its members' potential, particularly development on standard and quality of service to give consumer utmost satisfaction. The association will establish the home building business professional development program by focusing on training, development and know-how about home building business consecutively. Besides the association's members, other homebuilders will get this chance to join the program to raise the standard of the whole industry altogether. Moreover, the program will help prepare homebuilder and increase competency in the international's stage in the future after ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (AFTA) opens, The association also plans to develop database related to home building business with two ways: developing academic to be more intensive, particularly consumer analysis to meet their demand as much as possible and joining other organizations like the Real Estate Information Center, the government Housing Bank to do a research. Another main policy is building awareness on home building which the association has always done and needs a consecutive action through marketing activities and campaigns like HomeBuilder Focus and Home Builder Fair. The association will also communicate with consumer to have better understanding on home building business with academic articles like knowledge on home building, construction materials and financial issue. "Our policy remains paying main attention on consumer, particularly through communications and building awareness on home building which we have done very well. Market share and sales of each member increases. We also see development of each company that becomes more professional. We will continue this attempt altogether with a variety of offers," Dr. Patchara says. Dr. Patchara says the overall home building market is one of the important issues. Last year the home building market value totaled around 11 billion baht, below the target of 11.5 billion baht mainly due to the flood and rising prices of fuel. In 2012, the association expects the overall market value will be around 12 billion baht as customers that delayed making decision during the flood will resume. Meanwhile, average prices tend to increase in line with the country's economy and the association will build awareness on the association's home building to be more acceptable among consumer.
