“According to a survey carried out by Chulalongkorn University Social Research Institute regarding theThe Re-usage of Cooking Oil in Thailand[2], 27.5 percent of adult Thais reported having deep fried food 7-9 times a week and 15.17 percent buy fried food every day. In addition, 54% of food vendors reused cooking oil when preparing food. The survey said reused cooking oil was found in fresh markets, weekend markets, fast-food shops and supermarkets. The continued use of reused oil can cause a range of ailments including high-cholesterol, increased risk of heart attacks, and clotted arteries.
