OCS has been selected as the preferred supplier of aircraft cleaning and laundry services to Vietnam Airlines at London Gatwick Airport. At the end of 2011, Vietnam Airlines began a new flight service from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to the London airport. The three year aircraft grooming contract was awarded by Swissport who provide ground services for over 70 million passengers at 180 airports worldwide.The OCS team provide a secure aircraft cleaning service and are specially trained in searching the aircraft for suspicious devices.Phil Derbyshire, Director of Transport and Leisure for OCS, commented: “The addition of the Vietnam Airlines contract brings our aircraft cleaning business portfolio at Gatwick to 16 airlines, including British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Monarch. It follows the recent wins with Air Asia X and Turkish Airlines, and underlines the rapid growth in business achieved at Gatwick Airport over the last 18 months.”
