The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), together with Kasikornbank pcl, Muang Thai Life Assurance Co., Ltd., and PTT pcl, announces the winners of “Young Financial Star Competition 2011”, with a combined THB 4 million in awards being granted to three young financiers and a group of students.
The competition, aiming at preparing participants for careers in the capital market, has been held for nine consecutive years to choose champions from among more than 5,000 university students not over 25 years of age. The program ran from October 2011 to January 2012.
“The raising of new young financiers is part of our capital market’s development. This year’s contest has significantly boosted skills in financial planning and investment, paving the way to successful financial careers,” said SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira. “It is a delight that the competition has helped develop the expertise and capability of Thai students who will become the core resource of the country’s capital market development.”
The four winners granted the awards are 1. Napol Kamthornkittikul from Chulalongkorn University as SET Star Investment Planner, 2. Sajjawat Junhom from Thammasat Universityas K Star Financial Planner, 3. Kawin Panusittikorn from Thammasat Universityas Muang Thai Star Insurance Planner, and 4. A student group from Chulalongkorn University, consisting of Chayanun Saransomruetai, Nathawat Atukyothin, Piyawit Nilsaeng, and Tavinee Vattanapakanchai, as PTT CSR Star Team.
In addition to the four alliance partners mentioned above, the contest was supported by Association of Securities Companies, Thai Financial Planner Association, Thailand Securities Institute, and The Capital Market Development Fund Foundation.
