Cape Panwa Hotel and Kantary Bay Hotel in Phuket were awarded the Travellers’ Choice for Best Relaxation & Spa in Thailand by TripAdvisor along with ‘Certificates of Excellence 2011’ from the world’s largest travel review website - reinforcing this distinction.
The Cape Panwa and Kantary Bay Hotels in Phuket were voted among the ‘Top 25 Best Relaxation & Spa Hotels in Thailand’ at TripAdvisor’s 10th annual Travellers’ Choice Awards, and received a ‘2011 Certificate of Excellence’ each, along with five other Kasemkij Hotels under the Cape and Kantary Collections; namely: Cape House, Bangkok/ Kantary Hills, Chiang Mai / Kantary Bay, Rayong / Kantary Hotel, Ayutthaya and Kantary House, Bangkok.
Kasemkij Hotels Travel Industry Group Director Poomiphat Navanukroh commented, “Unlike any other hotel awards, TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Winners are based on over 45 million first-hand reviews and opinions from travellers around the world. As, on average, TripAdvisor accommodates more than 50 million unique monthly visitors across 18 TripAdvisor-branded travel sites with 20 million members. The sites operate in 30 countries and in 21 languages.”
The Travellers’ Choice Hotel Awards cover seven categories with dedicated lists featured for 30 countries. The average nightly rate* for 2012 Travelers’ Choice Hotels award winners is $270 and 45 percent have an average nightly rate of $200 or less. The average nightly rate for the Best in Relaxation & Spa is $376.
The Cape Panwa Hotel, with its private palm-fringed beach and lavish Cape Spa, belongs to Thailand’s prestigious Cape Collection of luxury hotels and serviced apartments. While the cosy Kantary Bay lies adjacent and shares facilities with its upmarket sister.
“The “Certificate of Excellence 2011” is awarded to member properties of TripAdvisor who consistently receive Excellence Ratings from travellers around the world. To qualify, the property must maintain an average rating of 4 or higher out of the possible 5. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews and the recentness of these reviews”, he explained before going on to say,
