Celebrate the first polo season of this year at the charity match of ‘BMW- B.Grimm Thai Polo Open 2012’, the great outdoor event for the beginning of the year 2012. The charity polo match was organized by Mr.Harald Link, Chairman of B.Grimm Group and sponsor BMW Group Thailand to win the HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Cup. The event was held at the wooded hills in Thai Polo & Equestrian Club in Pattaya and presided over by H.E.Ms.Ana Maria Ramirez, Argentine Ambassador to Thailand. The match was set to raise funds for the Chitralada Vocational School project under the patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The funds were in aid of providing students with good and useful knowledge through resourceful training to gain future employment.

Before the match, there were plenty to keep guests refreshed and entertained over the Polo club with fun activities to raise money such as massage treatment at Paris Spa booth, Tree Top Adventure Park booth, and etc. Lively music by Bangkok Symphony Orchestra also kept guests serenade. Highlight included stomping divots, the long-standing traditions which spectators wandered all over the field stomping the torn-up turf. It was fun and good time to show off gorgeous groom and fancy hats for the ladies just wandering the field. After the ladies showed off their looks, there was an announcement on the best hat and best dress awards. The Best Hat Award went to Ms.Avasada Pocmontri who came with detailed white hat and the best dress award went to Ms.Apinya Sevatasai in black classic top and pants
The match between La Sarita Team from Malaysia and defending champion Thai Polo Team started after polo players were paraded to the field. Thai Polo Team scored the first goal of the game, followed by a goal from La Sarita Team. The first chukka La Sarita was the lead and ended the game by the scores 2 ?-2. In an incredibly exciting match, both teams battled for control of the ball. Until the final chukka, the La Sarita Team closed out the game with a narrow 8? - 8 over Thai Polo Team. La Sarita Team, the Malay neighbor won HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Cup. The charity event was ended by fireworks lighting up the sky.
