Bangkok--3 Feb--Bed Buzz Jess Barnes returns to Bangkok to present his earthy yet defined cuisine showcasing the best of local produce and supporting small farms Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Jess Barnes has gained a solid reputation as a sous-chef at GROSSI FLORENTINO, where he was exposed to the best traditional and innovative Italian cuisine. In 2009, when Grossi opened in Bangkok, Guy Grossi asked his young chef to "start-up" the restaurant in Thailand, which within a year gained the interest of the local media and was quickly praised as one of Bangkok's hot tables. Today Jess is preparing his much anticipated come back in Bangkok with nothing less than a position as chef de cuisine in a new venture in Sukhumvit soi 45 called QUINCE, due to open April 2012 where he will be showcasing a Modern Australian fare. To keep his proficiency, Jess Barnes has accepted the invitation from Bed Supperclub's owners to come and "perform" as guest chef at Bed for 2 exceptional nights on February 10th and 11th. As usual, guests will be presented a surprise four course menu, only this time it will be completely designed by Jess Barnes and featuring his distinctive Modern Australian cuisine.
