Volvo Group (Thailand), the sole authorized distributor and assembler of Volvo trucks and UD Trucks in Thailand, has announced the appointment of Mr. Jacques Michel to be the new President of Volvo Group (Thailand) Co., Ltd., effective immediately.
Mr. Jacques Michel has over 12 years marketing experience in the heavy truck industry and together with his expertise in marketing development and outstanding management skills; he has been appointed to this role, and will responsible for Thailand, Lao, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia and Philippines markets.
Previously, Mr. Jacques was the Managing Director, Volvo Trucks Indonesia and held several key roles in management position including; Manager, Mack Trucks, Hagerstown USA, Director, Volvo Powertrain North America — Hagerstown USA, Vice President, Volvo Powertrain Asia — Shanghai — China, and Board Member of Volvo Trucks in Korea.
He was graduated in Master of Engineering, Majoring electrical and Industrial in France. He is now 37 years old, married with 2 children.
