Executive Chef Iker Gonzalez and his colleague Chef Lander Dorronsoro joins us from Hotel Maria Cristina located in the heart of historic San Sebastian, a city with a rich culinary heritage and home to Michelin star red restaurants. Passionate about his native cuisine, Chef Iker cooks with flair and imagination to create exciting traditional and contemporary Spanish cuisine.
The cuisine of Spain places the emphasis on fresh ingredients and sophisticated flavour combinations. In addition to Taste’s normal gourmet buffet dinner, diners can anticipate an enticing special selection of dishes by the two talented chefs. Guests are invited to embrace the relaxed Spanish way of eating and enjoy an array of delicious little tapas temptations like
- gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns),
- air dried Serrano ham and spicy chorizo, plus classics such as
- seafood paella and tortilla Espanola. Highlights will include ? roasted hake loin in traditional green garlic and parsley sauce, and succulent
- roasted rack of lamb in pistachio crust and
- creamed potatoes and leeks with codfish. Dining ends on a sweet note with the authentic northern Spanish dessert of ? pan fried milk, and much more.
