KTC is having a change in marketing strategy with the aim to reclaim the leading position in the credit card market within three years. With the “Spend Carefree with up to 5% Cashback” campaign, members can save on their gasoline spending at PTT and Bangchak and their supermarket spending at Big C and Lotus. The campaign takes into account members’ spending via their KTC credit card, regardless of location, with the only condition being the required monthly spending targets. It will run from March 1st to May 31st, 2012 and is believed to position KTC as the preferred credit card brand of all members in their daily life.
Mr. Piyasak Tejasen, Senior Executive Vice President - Products and Distribution, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, said “For the year 2012, KTC has established a marketing strategy that is consistent with our organizational objectives of lowering managerial cost and reclaiming the leading position in the credit card business within three years. In the year 2011, we have a total credit card spending of 110,000 Million Baht with the biggest categories of spending being gasoline and supermarket which combine to 25% of the overall spending portfolio or as much as 2.5 Billion Baht per month.”
“We have also studied the spending behaviors of our members, and, together with our policy of helping our members with their burden, we are introducing the ‘Spend Carefree with up to 5% Cashback’ campaign. This will be cashback on their spending at PTT and Bangchak gas stations and Big C and Lotus supermarkets, regardless of the type of card they are using and regardless of the locations at which they spend toward the monthly spending targets.”

Members who spend 800 Baht or more per sales slip at PTT or Bangchak gas stations, 1,500 Baht or more per sales slip at Big C Supercenter or Tesco Lotus, plus collective of 10,000 Baht or more from spending elsewhere will be entitled to 5% cashback on their gasoline or supermarket spending. Those with collective credit card spending of 5,000 Baht or more will be entitled to 4% cashback. Special! KTC-JCB credit card members will receive the double reward points when using their card at PTT, Bangchak, Shell, Caltex, PT and Petronas gas stations, Villa Market, Tops Super, Tops Daily, Tops Market, Central Food Hall, Gourmet Market, Home Fresh Mart, Max Value, UFM Fuji, Jusco and Tokyu supermarkets. This campaign will run from March 1st to May 31st, 2012.”
