The association of Thai ICT Industry (ATCI) joined hand with government and private companies to release “AOR BOR TOR Summit 2012” project — the academic seminar educated ICT knowledge for the local officers’ government in 5 regions at 20 March to 26 May 2012
Mr. Adirake Patitus, President of (ATCI) said that the association of Thai ICT Industry (ATCI) will arrange “AOR BOR TOR Summit 2012” project-academic seminar and show information and communication technology for management the local administration. Also in this project is working toward with Electronic Government Agency (Public Organization) (EGA), Ministry of Information and Communication Technology to get the support of public relations from Office of Public Sector Development, Department of Local Government, and Ministry of Interior and co-operate with business owner to joint the support such as CAT Telecom Public Company Limited (PCL), Epson Corporation (Thailand) Company Limited and Canon Marketing (Thailand) Limited.
The project -“AOR BOR TOR Summit 2012”-has aim to increase the capacity of the Department of Local Government, because the present work are lots on the staffs and the operation cannot take care of them thoroughly. Therefore the academic seminar will help to develop the skills of staff at the Department of Local Government personnel with expertise in information technology in its operations. Moreover, this seminar will prepare officers’ government to e-government follow the ICT master plan and manage the country with information technology. Information technology will have led to the plans of local governments to enhance and elevate the standard of ICT and move forward the country further.
In addition, “AOR BOR TOR Summit 2012” in five regions across the country, will provide activities to educate agencies and officials of the Department of Local Government. The main objective is to create understanding, increase knowledge and develop competencies in information technology under the concept “Smart Thailand, Smart Aor Bor Tor”. Furthermore, the activities are as follows the keynote address of the senior management of the public sector in various topics of interest For example, the strategic topics for local ICT, master plan to E-ASEAN towards ICT to implementation of the Local and discuss the knowledge of experts from both public and private sectors in the study case of "Information technology and emergency protection for the local " and a case study on "eCommerce and Social Media, the choice of local economic development"/ The seminars offer a unique technology and solutions / the experience for the advancement of technology and entrepreneurship ICT and e - Government Showcase and Pavilion. Also, there are some outstanding performances Government Technology Showcase and technology entrepreneurs with ICT.
Besides, “AOR BOR TOR Summit 2012” project will held between 20 March and 26 May 2555 in five regions across the country with are Chiang Mai, Rayong, Khon Kaen, Songkhla and Phuket provinces.
