Bangkok--6 Mar--AirAsia
AirAsia, the world’s best low-cost airline will be reducing the prices of its pre-booked in-flight meals regionally effective Thursday, 1 March 2012 with savings up to 30% when booked online at www.airasia.com.
This good news comes after AirAsia reduced its check-in baggage and sports equipment fees two weeks ago, and it will benefit all AirAsia guests as they are able to enjoy more of AirAsia’s value-added services at lower costs.
Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia said, “AirAsia always strives to listen to our guests, and take into account their feedback on how we can make their AirAsia experience a better one. In line with our efforts to reduce travel costs and provide more value to our guests, we decided to revise our pre-booked in-flight meal prices as well, apart from the recent reduction of check-in baggage and sports equipment fees. And as a truly Asean airline, we have also continuously improved on our selection of meals on board with tastes from across the region.”
“AirAsia’s commitment is to make all our guests’ flying experience a better one, and one of the grouses we commonly hear is guests not being able to have their preferred meals on board. We hope that the price reduction for online pre-booked meals will encourage more people to pre-book their preferred meals online along with their flight bookings. Not only can they save up to 30% when they pre-book their meals online, but guests can also ensure that they can enjoy their favourite meals on board.” Added the CEO.
AirAsia’s pre-booked meals consist of a hot meal with a bottle of 100ml mineral water and are now priced at 99 THB per set for the all-time favourite Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak, Uncle Chin’s Chicken Rice, Green Curry Chicken, Asian Fried Rice with Satay, Chicken Satay, Ginger Fried Rice with Vegetarian Chicken, Roast Chicken with BBQ Sauce, Spaghetti Chicken Bolognaise, Vegetarian Pulao Briyani, Bukhara Chicken Briyani.
Guests who own the BIG Card will also be rewarded with 2X BIG Points when they pre-book their meals along with their flights. For more information about BIG, please log on to www.tune2big.com.
