Kantary Hills Hotel, Chiang Mai welcomed the 30 Miss Thailand World 2012 finalists who will spend three days promoting local tourism along the famous Nimmanhaemin Road. The Corporate Group Director of Kasemkij Hotels, operator of Kantary Hills, expressed full support of the event as its planned activities will promote tourism, education and Chiang Mai’s unique culture. Kantary Hills Hotel General Manager said he is honoured to host this year’s 30 finalists with a well-prepared venue and various activities.
Mr. Wiwat Tangjitkobboon, Corporate Group Director of Kasemkij Hotels said, “The company is extremely pleased to host the MTW Training Camp at Kantary Hills Chiang Mai once again, the other time was in 2009. The two years in-between, we held it at our southern properties, Kantary Beach Hotel, Khao Lak in 2011, and Cape Panwa Hotel, Phuket in 2010. This year, the 30 finalists will be staying with us from March 3 to 5, in order to prepare for the big final competition. "The Miss Thailand World contest is a very popular event, followed by millions of television viewers across the country. The presence of the contestants here in Chiang Mai will definitely give local tourism an extra boost, even though our northern capital is well known among Thai and foreign tourists. Moreover, this program will be aired on TV CH3 about a week before the end of the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek 2011 so hopefully it will help attract more visitors to the flower show during its final days,” commented Wiwat.
Kantary Hills Hotel, Chiang Mai General Manager Magrin Promyothi added that he was certain that the visiting contestants would be impressed with the hotel, “Everything is well in place for the Miss Thailand World 2012 Finalists. The hotel is ready for all the various activities, including the swimsuit photo session which will be shot at the hotel’s swimming pool as the highlight of the event. This year there is even a place where the contestants can relax and do a little shopping, within a few steps of the hotel,” he said, referring to the recently opened Kantary Terrace in front of the hotel’s soi; a lifestyle mall with chic shops and eateries, a beauty salon, bank and airline offices and so forth.
"Over the next three days at Kantary Hills Hotel, the contestants will not only learn everything they need to know to compete in the pageant, but they will also help to promote Chiang Mai tourism and take part in philanthropic activities. These include paying respect to Kru Ba Sri Wichai and Doi Suthep Temple, renovating Sangwan Wittaya School, donating learning media and playing sports with the students as well as raising funds for the needy children of Chiang Mai.” Magrin concluded.
