Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co. Ltd. is preparing to unveil Mazda MINAGI conpact crossover SUV concept car that has stunned people all around the world. The MINAGI has crossed the ocean from Japan and has arrived Thailand for the first time — it is ready to be shown closely to the public at the Bangkok International Motor Show at Muangthong Thani from March 28 onwards. In addition, Mazda is also offering special promotions for customers at the show including low 2.35-per cent interest and free first-class insurance.
The Mazda MINAGI crossover concept was first unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show 2011 and it embraces Mazda's new design theme, KODO — Soul of Motion. It is the forerunner of Mazda's upcoming next-generation products and symbolizes the evolution of the Mazda brand to open up a new era. As the second Mazda concept that features the KODO design language, the MINAGI revolutionizes contemporary automobile design with energy-bursting emotions and exciting driving performance.
Mr. Choichi Yuki, Managing Director of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co. Ltd., said Mazda will keep Thai customers excited with the fascinating design. “Since launch of its first passenger car, Mazda has spent many years exploring the concept of "motion"' offering customers exciting designs to view and drive. In particular, since the launch of the Zoom-Zoom brand philosophy, we have pursued the concept of more athletic and sporty motion and it has been the subject of great acclaim, receiving 30 global awards for its design alone. For the further evolution, we have more emphasized the strength, beauty and tension inspired by the instantaneous movement of animals. We have named it 'KODO - Soul of Motion', and our aim is to apply this for all the upcoming models" he said.
Ms. Sureetip La-Ongthong Chomthongdee, Marketing Director, said, “In addition to displaying the concept vehicle, Mazda has also decided to provide 3 special offers, led by the Mazda BT-50 with starting price of only Bt589,000 plus free first-class insurance. The Mazda2 and Mazda3 come with similar offers, with interest starting at 2.35 per cent plus first-class insurance. For premium models consisting of the CX-9 luxury crossover and MX-5 roadster, interest starts at 2.35 per cent and apart from first-class insurance, customers also receive a 3-year/100,000km maintenance package. The offer lasts until April 8 only.
Sureetip added that the appearance of the Mazda MINAGI for the first time in Thailand will tell show visitors about Mazda’s new design language for the next generation of vehicles. “While the Mazda SHINARI reflected the true essence of the KODO design language, the MINAGI is closer to reality and accurately reflects the next-generation Mazda that will be launched in the future. As the second Mazda concept featuring KODO design, the MINAGI was designed with elements of strength and agility, as well as high versatility with its straight-up and compact structure. That’s why the MINAGI represents a different KODO design when compared to the SHINARI, although they share the same modern design and stance,” she said.
