JOINER
A brief study of the world of manual labour and all those special tools that make up the day-to-day life of carpenters, mechanics and craftsmen … and immediately inspiration became an idea and slowly the idea took shape. Intelligent, pockets, reminiscent or craftsmen’s overalls are ready to cater to all needs and a classic centimeter measure printed on the leather endows the briefcase with the concepts of labour, precision, experience and imagination. Joiner is not a status symbol transformed into a briefcase, it is a celebration of work values, too often forgotten, where technical knowhow and human expertise come together to enhance the uniqueness of each and every artefact.
MALENA
Malena, the sultry, female icon who wows a southern Italian village ona hot afternoon with her flimsily clad beauty is the inspiration for thisnew Mandarina Duck line.Malena bags are light, sensual, made of delicate, soft-touch fabricsand tastefully padded to guarantee absolute comfort.Their soft shapes are outlined by an attractive fabric trim andenhanced by elegant pleating. Designed more as garments than asbags, the line matches its fashion sense with an acute sense ofpracticality, shown by the numerous compartments and pockets inwhich to conceal the precious secrets of feminine allure.
UTILITY
During the flamboyant 1980s the rule in the design world was that there were no rules. Hence the ironic, irreverent UTILITY line. Bags with a distinctive plastic fabric and dazzling colours that young people naturallywent mad about. Today UTILITY is back with a restyled, contemporary design and colour scheme and a range including backpacks, shoulder bags, duffels and wallets. The line’s opaque, hitech fabric expresses all UTILITY’s original spirit, freshness and irony and its cheeky gloss drawstring matches the bright Mandarina Duck on the front. Pockets and a double carry mode also make the line ideal for a wide variety of uses.
