The Opening Night of the highly-anticipated men’s fashion event of the year will be an evening filled with Global Mega Superstars, A-Listers, and Asian Male Supermodelsall converging at The Sands Expo and Convention Center at Marina Bay Sands
The opening night of the biggest menswear fashion event in Asia, Men’s Fashion Week (MFW) Singapore 2012, will present two spectacular shows: one from the internationally-acclaimed Korean designer, SONGZIO, and the other from UK label SPENCER HART, who is a firm favourite of Hollywood male celebrities, accompanied by up-and-coming and well-known Asian music superstars and male supermodels.
This will be a fashion and music night to remember as award-winning Steinway pianists tickle the ivory throughout the evening, while guests will enjoy gourmet canap?s and free flow drinks, followed by the opening shows. Internet music sensations, Sungha Jung and Megan Lee, both Koreans, will make their Singapore debut.
On YouTube alone, Jung, a young professional acoustic finger-style guitarist, has amassed over 427 million views of his videos. It’s the way he interprets the different layers of motions of the tracks that he covers, not through vocal but through his guitar strings, that has won him his legion of fans.
Lee, a young Korean-American singer, songwriter and actress, who, though known more for her covers on YouTube, but is set to embark on her solo music career, will mesmerize guests with her soulful voice.
Later in the evening, Korean band 8eight will take over for a short jam session. Consisting of Baek Chan, Lee Hyun and Joo Hee, this stylish trio was the winner of the inaugural MBC’s Show Survival in South Korea. With their strong vocal talents and R&B/soul music style, they have been compared favourably to the Black Eyed Peas.
To end the evening, Nick Hart, Designer of Spencer Hart, will be the guest DJ for the party, hosted by Songzio.
Throughout the five-day MFW Singapore 2012, expect more J- and K-pop and international stars to descend on MFW Singapore 2012! Look out for performances and/or appearances by Japanese actor Tanihara Shosuke, Japanese actor-singer Kajimi Yasuke, Korean singer Se7en (aka Choi Dong-wook), Korean-American rock band Royal Pirates, Japanese singer-composer H Zett M.
In addition, top Korean male supermodels, Lee Jung Shin and Lee Su Hyuk, will be making an appearance with international male supermodel and face of MFW Singapore 2011, Philip Huang!
More international stars and performers will be announced in the weeks leading up to MFW Singapore 2012.
