Bangkok--24 Apr--AirAsia
AirAsia, the world’s best low-cost airline for 3 consecutive years as ranked by Skytrax, brings the real testimonials of its passengers to air in its latest commercial series, as 7 public figures and celebrities reaffirm that “Now Everyone Can Fly”. Led by Aed Carabao, celebrities Numam Suriwipa, Ajarn Nawarat Pongpaibool, Mum Jok Mok and Pleumjitr Tinkao will join other AirAsia passengers from a range of industries to relay their travel experiences, reinforcing AirAsia’s accommodation to all lifestyles and prices that assure “Everyone Can Fly”. The new TV commercial will air on 23 April 2012.
Tassapon Bijleveld, Thai AirAsia CEO, spoke of the new campaign, saying that AirAsia wishes to relay the various impressions of its customers and selected 7 celebrities and public figures who frequently fly with AirAsia to share their experiences. The diverse group, differing in travel objectives and social positions are unified by their longstanding trust in travel with AirAsia.
“The 7 passengers who will be speaking about their experiences with AirAsia are not presenters but real customers who have formed a bond with AirAsia such as Aed Carabao, who chooses AirAsia when flying from Bangkok to his home in Chiang Mai as well as Numam who entrusts us with delivering her between Bangkok and Nakorn Phanom for visits with her family. When we proposed the idea of this campaign, all the participants wholeheartedly agreed to devote their stories, a fact which makes us immensely proud” said Tassapon.
The 7 commercials of the series will each tell the story of one of the seven travelers. Aed Carabao, a foremost folk musician, will speak of his concert tours across the nation and why AirAsia’s extensive flight network and frequent flights make it the airline of his choice. Numam Suriwipa, a television host, will recount the “Happiness Can Fly” project, when AirAsia flew northern Thai hill tribe children to Phuket so they could experience the ocean for the first time.
Ajarn Nawarat Pongpaibool, a SEA Write poet, speaks of the inspiration found in the many destinations offered by AirAsia as well as how the “Sufficiency Philosophy” is embodied by the airline. Star comedian Mum Jok Mok lauds AirAsia’s low prices, which allow him to take his family on more trips and Pleumjitr Tinkao, a Thai National Women’s Volleyball Team member, talks about how AirAsia supported the Thailand Volleyball Association, launching her career as well as how its punctuality has kept her a devoted customer. Apart from the seven figures, two more customers will represent the nation’s office workers and SME operators who see AirAsia as a crucial part of their work.
Each of the 15 second long TV commercials will debut simultaneously on 23 April. Viewers can share their own experiences at Thai AirAsia’s Facebook page (facebook.com/AirAsiaThailand).
