Home Builder Association set approach strategy “2012 Home Building Industry’s Standard Upgrading to encounter in the AEC stage”. The strategy, which will be implemented through one-day intensive seminar conducted by leading industry gurus and in-depth training sessions throughout the year, aims to attract contractors to upgrade home building standards in order to prepare for market liberalization under the AEC.
Dr. Patchara Tantayanyong, President of Home Builder Association, discloses that home building business is currently an integral part of the big residential industry which has continually been developing. As small private contractors often face problems with service, design and construction standards, the Association this year issues a policy to revamp and upgrade home building standards through the implementation of the approach strategy, called “2012 Home Building Industry’s Standard Upgrading to encounter in the AEC stage”.
The strategy aims to upgrade professional standards for home builders so that they are well accepted by consumers in terms of quality, standard and reliability, which will result in industry expansion going forward. Besides, it is also meant to enhance operators strength in terms of knowledge and project management capabilities, while reducing disputes between home builders and consumers, as well as to promote the association to general public to prepare for the AEC.
The strategy includes the extensive seminar to launch the project on Thursday, May 24, 2012 under the topic of “2012 Home Building Industry’s Standard Upgrading to encounter in the AEC stage” at the Grand Ballroom, The Emerald Hotel, Ratchadapisek with a special key note speech on “2012 Thailand Economic Profile, AEC Adaptation & Housing Development Direction” by Representative from Finance Ministry.
In addition, the Association also plans a series of 6 in-depth professional training sessions. The training, which will be starting from June — September 2012, is conducted by leading industry gurus and specialists and available to the Association’s members as well as outsiders, e.g. small private contractors or any interested person, to participate so that a cluster of small private contractors can be efficiently developed.
