Featuring first-ever grand showcase of Swedish traditional and contemporary culture in Thailand
Megabangna joined hands with The Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok to launch ‘Swedish Festival 2012’ in celebrating the 144th anniversary of Thai-Sweden relations with first-ever extravaganza showcase of Swedish culture and way of life, both traditional and contemporary styles. The event features ‘Live Swedish Life’ exhibition, a range of cultural performances like Mid Summer Dance, Swedish Little Frog and traditional Swedish costume display. Special workshops and activities are also arranged during weekend to acquaint visitors with Swedish culture and values with the likes of making gorgeous ‘krans’ or flower head wreath, Swedish traditional games and much more, on 2-3 June and 9-10 June, at 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
Enjoy Swedish Jazz Festival on 9 — 10 June, two full days of spectacular live performance and free workshop from various world-famous Swedish jazz artists - Camilla Lundstedt, Ulf Wakenius, Eric Wakenius and Jonathan Fritzen, jammed with well-known local jazz performers like Koh Mr. Saxman, The Infinity member Passakorn Morasilpin and Neung Jakkawal. Food enthusiasts should not also miss the rare chance to enjoy authentic Swedish cuisine from IKEA.
