ICID is well supported by the Royal Thai Government, which has recognised that infectious diseases transcend national boundaries and that global solutions are necessary. ISID exists to encourage collaboration between leaders to find these solutions, share their experiences and demonstrate their commitment to public safety.” Dr. Thira Sirisanthana, The Chair of the Local Organizing Committee, said, “ICID is now recognised as a proven global stage for the world’s leading experts to come together to share and network on the platform of scientific programmes that run the spectrum from cutting edge research to state of the art practices in combating the global threat of infectious diseases. The end result of the congress is the forming of new partnerships, the sharing of new preventative methods and new therapeutics that will be useful for people throughout Asia and around the world.” For more information, please visit http://www.isid.org/icid/ .
