Mazda is considered as one of the few car brands in the world that communicates with customers through sportiness. This includes the driving performance, handling, as well as exterior and interior design that features the stylish, insightful and spirited Mazda sports DNA. Known for its “Zoom-Zoom” character, Mazda vehicles come with powerful engines, world-class suspension and safety systems, along with eco-friendliness. These qualities have helped Mazda to step forward to the forefront of the competition in a very short period of time, with wide acceptance from customers especially for the Mazda2, Mazda3 and the all-new Mazda BT-50 PRO.
Mr. Choichi Yuki, Managing Director of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co. Ltd., said the participation in the Auto Salon reinforces and clarify the difference among the brands and stressing Mazda’s sports DNA that is transferred from concept and prototypes to every Mazda model. “The sports character deeply embedded in every Mazda vehicle from past to present as well as the production of limited edition models has been well-received by customers and helps create loyalty to the Mazda brand,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sureetip Chomthongdee La-Ongthong, the company’s Marketing Director, said that apart from the customized car collection, Mazda will also be displaying and taking orders for production models such as the 5-door Mazda2 Sport and new Mazda3 1.6L. Mazda will offer special promotions including interest rate starting at 2.35 percent, free first-class insurance. All Mazda vehicles sold in Thailand come with 3-year/100,000km warranty. “Apart from setting up a booth at the show, we will also stage marketing activities that stresses upon out sports DNA heritage. We will invite all Mazda fans to take part in an unprecedented car-customization activity consisting of the MX-5 roadster, Mazda3 and Mazda2 competing in the ‘Mazda Show-Off Contest’,” she said.
Customers who are interested can make applications at www.mazdashowoff.com and be eligible of winning a large number of prizes. Another highlight is the opportunity to sit alongside world-class drift champions from D1 Grand Prix 2012, which will be held in Thailand for the first time. The final 60 competitors will battle it out in the finals on June 29, 2012.
The customized models that Mazda will exhibit start from the Mazda2 Elegance, and that has been customized under a “Mazda2 Metro Elegance” VIP theme. The customization of the Mazda2 5-door hatchback, meanwhile, is inspired by the sports DNA of the RX-8 and MX-5, in combination with the design cues of the Mazda SHINARI concept. This “Mazda2 Metrosports” theme is in fact a fusion of sportiness of a race car and the colorfulness of modern car fashion.
The Mazda3 also gets a significant modification with a large number of customizations kits. It carries a “Modern Luxury” theme that stress on modernism and luxury, seamlessly combining into the “THRILLING-4” nameplate for the sedan and “THRILLING-5” nameplate for the hatchback. Race car styling is featured, with the fierceness of the aero parts being able to turn all heads.
In addition, Mazda will please pickup fans with the all-new BT-50 PRO Hi-Racer, a raised 2WD model that is dressed up with a large number of special custom parts for the first time especially for the Auto Salon. The customization theme of the BT-50 revolves around sportiness of the Mazda brand, featuring raised suspension, 22-inch alloy wheels and roll bar inside the cabin.
