CCOP conducted a Workshop under the CCOP- Norway Program on Enhancing Public Petroleum Management (EPPM) at Holiday Inn Silom Bangkok

Bangkok--26 Jun--Holiday Inn Silom Bangkok The Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in East and Southeast Asia (CCOP) Technical Secretariat led by Simplicio P. Caluyong, EPPM Program Coordinator conducted a Workshop under the EPPM Program recently at Silom Ballroom, Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom last 12-14 June 2012 on the topic “How Should Governments Manage the End of Concession Period and Decommissioning of Oil and Gas Installations?” The 3-day Workshop aims to enhance the knowledge of the CCOP Member Countries with the current state-of-the-art in managing end of oil and gas concession and decommissioning of installations. More than 50 participants coming mostly from the government regulatory agencies and national oil companies of Cambodia, China, Indonesia, South Korea, Lao-PDR, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, and observers from Myanmar, participated in the Workshop. The event is organized by the CCOP Technical Secretariat in cooperation with PETRAD (Norway) and Thailand’s Department of Mineral Fuels.
