Bangkok--17 Jul--Toyota Motor Mr. Kyoichi Tanada, President of Toyota Motor Thailand Co.,Ltd. has presided over the 2012 Half Year Press Conference to report the January to June 2012 car sales performance was 606,523 units, increase by 40.4%. The car market in 2012 is adjusted to be projected to grow by 51.1% to 1,200,000 units. Mr. Tanada said “Total domestic car sales during January to June mark a new record in Thailand auto industry with a total 606,523 of vehicles were sold with 40.4% increase compared to the previous year. The growth is classified into that of 46.3% rise in commercial vehicles and 33.1% in passenger cars. Toyota sold 241,245 units for domestic. The growing domestic sales have been contributed by strong demand in the market boosted by the government subsidy.
