Bangkok--30 Jul--BEC-Tero Entertainment Thaiticketmajor has joined forces with Thailand Post, Advanced Info Service (AIS) and Tesco Lotus to provide interprovincial bus tickets beginning this August. The company has been co-operating with The Transport Company in selling bus tickets through Thaiticketmajor outlets and post offices since 2006 and the service has been well received by passengers. With the new alliance, Thaiticketmajor is ready to expand its network into other parts of Thailand. Mr. Wuthichart Kalyanamitra, President of The Transport Company, said of the service: “The Transport Co. has been providing inter-provincial bus services for a long time. Our first co-operation with Thaiticketmajor created a new dimension for bus services as it was the first time that travellers were able to book tickets from another source other than at bus stations. I am confident that this new level of co-operation will lead to even more convenient bus ticketing services especially during important holidays when an extremely large number of people travel. For more information, please contact our 24-hour call centre 1490.” Deputy Managing Director of Thaiticketmajor, Komkrit Sirirat, added: “With the increasing demand for inter-provincial bus tickets, we have expanded ticketing channels to serve the needs of our customers. All of our partners are trustworthy business operators and have various channels to reach customers, which is an important factor in expanding our customer base. We expect that the number of customers will increase by 20% with the introduction of the new ticketing channels.” Ms. Anusra Chittmittrapap, Director of Thailand Post, the leading postal service provider, revealed: “Thailand Post has increased the number of ticketing booths to more than 260 nationwide to facilitate inter-provincial bus passengers.” Mr. Supreecha Limpikanchanakowit, Managing Director of Advanced mPay, an affiliate of AIS, commented: “AIS will facilitate travellers across the country with bus ticketing services which will be available at mPay stations in AIS shops, Serenade Clubs and Telewiz shops. Customers can select their seats and receive tickets immediately. Moreover, advanced booking can be done up to 60 days prior to the travel date.” Mr. Teerawut Sutanasereepron, Deputy Managing Director of Tesco Lotus, said: “The bus ticketing service will be available in over 500 Tesco Lotus and Tesco Lotus Express branches.
