Organized for the first time ever in Thailand, “Asia New Star Model Contest 2012 - Face of Thailand” is looking for new-born stars to become the next Asian top model. The contest is the collaboration among Asia’s three giant modeling agents, namely KMA (Korea Model Association) Co., Ltd., FAME Management Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and AM Media Consultancy Co., Ltd. The winner, as Thailand’s representative, will join the model contest in Seoul, South Korea, to compete with 16 Asian countries. To open a world of opportunity, the event will be packed with trendsetters, scouts and representatives from leading brands around Asia.
Miss Aisikaa Tangsirichanon, Managing Director of Frame Management Asia, revealed that the company, as Thailand’s leading modeling agent, has been searching and providing models for globally renowned brands. In “Asia New Star Model Contest 2012 - Face of Thailand”, the company is responsible to find models for this event initiated by KMA (Korea Model Association) Co., Ltd., with AM media Consultancy Co., Ltd. earning the copyright of the contest in Thailand.
“Asia New Star Model Contest 2012 - Face of Thailand” is organized to search for new shining stars that will join the 3rd Asia New Star Model Contest 2013, annual event as a part of Asia Model Festival Awards in Seoul, South Korea. Attending this event are contestants from 16 Asian countries, such as South Korea, China, Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, India, Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and Mongolia. Thailand will join the competition for the first time this year.
This collaboration of three giant modeling agents is the stepping stone for Thai fashion to the international fashion world. The global reputation of each company will raise the bar for modeling business in Asia.
Miss Aisikaa, the founder of Frame Management Asia Co., Ltd., continued that the company is well known among modeling agencies in Thailand. Throughout these years, it has provided models for leading brands like Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Louis Vuitton, GUCCI, Chanel, Dior, Jaspal, Armani, Panasonic, Calvin Klein, FTV, Scott, Nivea, Canon, Samsung and Six Senses. It is also recognized in global platform, such as France, U.K., Spain, Italy, U.S.A., Russia, Hungary, Brazil and Australia.
Mr. Yang Eui Sik has 15 years of experience as a famous model, whose face was on 150 pieces of advertisement and 400 magazine covers. He is currently the Chairman of Korea Model Association (KMA) Co., Ltd. in South Korea and initiated “Asia New Star Model Contest”for seven years to search for new models to enter the world of entertainment. This year, more than 16 countries across Asia join the final round of 3rd Asia New Star Model Contest 2013, which is organized on every January.
Mr. Melvin Yong, the executive of AM media Consultancy Co., Ltd. and Regional Director of Korea Model Association Co., Ltd., said that getting a copyright to host this contest in Thailand is considered a big step for Thai models to enter the international platform. This event will be attended by fashion gurus, scouts and representatives from leading brands around Asia in search for the new-born stars.
In this contest, two famous stars, Film - Rattapoom Tohkongsab and Yaya Ying - Rata Phongam, will represent Thailand, just like the earlier generations - Cherry Khemupsorn and Ananda Everingham as well as Ann Alisha and Onn Sarawut.
To join “Asia New Star Model Contest 2012 - Face of Thailand”, the contestants must be between 18 and 25 years old, with good personality and figure. The male must be at least 180 cm high and female at least 173 cm high. The winner will not only receive 50,000-baht cash, but also become Thailand’s representative in the contest in South Korea and a chance to endorse leading products in Asia. The audition will take place in August 4, 2012, at Junior Ballroom, 3rd floor of Grand Millennium Sukhumvit, and the final round will take place on August 17, 2012, at Grand Ballroom, 4th floor of Grand Millennium Sukhumvit.
