Industry giants KTC and McDonald’s are having their first collaboration in Thailand. Loyalty program designed to win customers with rewards points.
“KTC” the leading lifestyle credit card company teams up with mega sized lifestyle food business McDonald’s to offer a new loyalty program for 2.14 million of KTC credit card and personal loans members, and McDonald’s customers in all provinces of Thailand. ‘Paid for by KTC Forever Rewards Points’ campaign gives members the chance to enjoy burgers and pies from as few as 200 points. KTC will be the company installing credit card machines at all 168 branches of McDonald’s nationwide to assist with the use of rewards points. This campaign is expected to help increase the use of points at restaurants by over 100 million points in one year.

We want our members to be able to use their KTC Forever Rewards points to the maximum possible benefit. Now, as this year they are accepting credit card payment for the first time, we have decided to create a new loyalty campaign ‘Paid for by KTC Forever Rewards Points’ to help afford our credit card and personal loans members extra convenience. They will also be able to use the rewards points they have to claim most popular items at all branches of McDonald’s in Thailand.”

“Commenting on the marketing plan of McDonald’s for the second half of the year, Chew said “We will continue to deliver food and services at great value to the customers with a range of promotional campaigns including McCafe’ member card in addition to a fresh, simple and fun experience at every visit.”
The ‘Paid for by KTC Forever Rewards Points’ promotion at McDonald’s allows members to use 1,000 points to instantly claim one of the five popular menu items of 118 Baht each: Samurai Pork Burger Set, Filet-O-Fish Set, McChicken Set, 6-Pieces Chicken McNugget Set and Deluxe Cheeseburger Set. All sets come with one medium sized French Fries and one 16 oz. carbonated beverage. Additionally, members can use only 200 rewards points to claim one 25 Baht Pineapple Pie or Corn Pie. Offers are valid from now until July 31st, 2013.
Mr. Ratian added “For the second half of the year, we will have marketing activities with partners in the dining and other categories. Members will have the opportunity to use their KTC Forever Rewards points in more ways and with more flair, especially where privileges at partner establishments are involved. We believe this promotional campaign with McDonald’s will result in a wide use of points with more locations where those points can be used, both in Bangkok and the other provinces. It will contribute to the goal of seeing more than 100 million points used in one year.”
