TMB and ING Bank will organize a charity mini-marathon, TMB ING ParkRun 2012 covering Bangkok’s three major public parks in Bangkok — Chatuchak Park, Wachirabenchatat Park (Suan Rot Fai) and Queen Sirikit Park. The TMB ING ParkRun 2012 will use RFID (Radio-frequency identification) time-keeping technology to empower runner to race against themselves with its time and distance tracking system. Tickets are priced at 250 baht including a complimentary exclusive TMB ING ParkRun running shirt, available for sale at TMB Head Office, Siam Paragon, Yada Silom Building branch and Thaiticket major. All proceeds and additional 10 Baht TMB donation per kilometer by runners will go to support the treatment of kids afflicted with Ondine’s curse.
TMB ING ParkRun 2012 will be held on Sunday September 9th, 2012. The event offers three categories of race distance — 2 kilometer walk, 4 and 10.5 kilometer run. Besides distance, total categories for the running competition are 18 categories divided by gender, and age. All runners who reach the Finish line will be awarded by Make THE Difference medals. The 1st — 3rd place of each category will receive a trophy, cash prize of 5,000 Baht, 2,000 Baht and 1,000 Baht, respectively and total 54 trophies will be awarded.
